Prof. Fakhreddin KabavaAdvisor

Fakhreddin Kabava was born in Aleppo in 1933. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Damascus University in 1960. He completed his master's degree in Ancient Arabic Literature at Cairo University in 1964 and his doctoral studies in 1966. In 1967, he started working as a faculty member in Ancient Arabic Literature at Aleppo University. He became an assistant professor in 1972 and a professor in 1977. After conducting various research activities in the United Arab Emirates and China, he taught courses in Ancient Arabic Literature, Nahv, and Sarf at Imam Muhammad Islamic University in Saudi Arabia in 1989. He returned to Aleppo University in 1992. Prof. Fahreddin Kabava has served as an advisor for numerous master's and doctoral theses. In addition to his articles and books in the field of Arabic language, he has published many critical editions. After engaging in scholarly activities at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University for a while, he commenced his role as an advisor at the İSAM Presidency on January 1, 2018.
