At the iftar program hosted by the President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, at the TDV Islamic Research Center on Tuesday, March 12th, many Islamic scholars from 14 different countries participated.

After the iftar, Prof. Dr. Erbaş greeted the guests and emphasized the importance that the unity, solidarity, and joint action of Muslims hold for the liberation of Gaza, the freedom of Jerusalem, and the welfare of East Turkestan. He expressed his hope that the month of Ramadan would serve as a catalyst for a new awakening and revival in this regard.

Among the participants of the program were numerous scholars and academics from Turkey and around the world, as well as Dr. Isam El Beşir, Vice President of the World Muslim Scholars Union; former Presidents of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Ateş, Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç, Prof. Dr. Ali Bardakoğlu; Deputy President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selim Argun; Istanbul Mufti, Prof. Dr. Safi Arpaguş; and President of İSAM, Prof. Dr. Mürteza Bedir.
