Ubeydullah Sezikli was born in Corum on 1974. He graduated at Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Theological (1998). He was appointed a research assistant at Gazi University Faculty of Theological (1998). In the Marmara University Instuate of Social Sciences, he accomplished his postgraduate with his thesis which is named "Kırşehirli Nizâmeddin İbn Yusuf'un Risâle-i Mûsikî Adlı Eseri" (2000), his doctorate with his thesis which is named "Abdülkâdir Merâgî ve Câmiu'l-Elhân'ı" (2007). He was an associate professor on 2018, he was a professor on 2024. He's still a dean at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Art Design and Architecture.
