Samt al-wuṣūl ilā ʿilm al-uṣūl
Samt al-wuṣūl ilā ʿilm al-uṣūl is an abridgement written by Ḥasan Kāfī al-Aqḥiṣārī (d. 1024/1615) on Manār al-anwār, one of the most renowned uṣūl al-fiqh works of the Ḥanafī school, authored by Abū al-Barakāt al-Nasafī (d. 710/1310).
Regarded as the most successful abridgement written on Manār al-anwār, Samt al-wuṣūl was previously published by İSAM together with the author’s own commentary. In response to readers’ requests, the text has now been prepared as a standalone edition, independent of the commentary. In this edition, the text has been carefully revised; certain schematic diagrams related to the division of topics that were added in the previous edition have been retained; and, in order to facilitate reading, nearly the entire text has been fully vocalized. The introductory study about the author, his works, and the manuscripts included in the former edition has been omitted from this independent publication in order to avoid repetition and to reduce the volume. It is hoped that this revised edition will prove more useful for researchers and readers alike.
